Assistant Wireline Operator

About the Role

Condor Energy Services is a growing and exciting business operating in the resource sector, with multiple locations across Australia and New Zealand. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, Assistant Wireline Operator to support our growing operations in Australia.


As an Assistant Wireline Operator, you will work closely with our experienced operators to perform a variety of tasks to support Wireline operations. This is an entry level position, which will require regular work in the field. On-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate to gain valuable hands-on experience. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in the oil & gas Industry.

Requirements

This role will require the successful candidate to work 12-hour shifts and an even-time roster in remote locations. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and preparation of wireline equipment for well intervention operations.

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on wireline tools and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

  • Assist in collecting data from well operations and learn how to interpret the data.

  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

  • Work as part of a team to execute operations efficiently and safely. 


Qualifications:

  • Current, Open Driver’s License

  • Heavy Vehicle Licence- HR/HC/MC (looked upon favourably) 


Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Strong desire to learn about wireline operations and the oil and gas industry.

  • Commitment to following safety protocols and learning best practices for safe operations

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work in various environments and potentially on different shifts, including nights and weekends

We are looking for hands-on candidates with a can-do attitude and a team player mentality. You should be a self-starter, with good problem-solving skills, thrive on accountability and have a high drive to succeed.
